News Release December 14, 2021 Five adults arrested for various child exploitation offenses. This past week Homeland Security Investigations, Durango Police Department, La Plata County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado State Police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigations conducted an operation focused on identifying and arresting individuals seeking to engage in sexual activities with minors. Law Enforcement officers established that adult subjects were interested in engaging in sexual activities with minors ranging in age from 12-14 years old. The operation yielded the arrests of: Joseph R. Klemish (age 29), William D. McLaughlin (age 30), Joshua C. Romero (age 24), Patrick M. Kendall (age 39), and Sutthimeth Phongklang (age 44). Chief Robert Brammer promises that Durango Police Department, along with partnering agencies, will continue to identify and target individuals that seek to exploit or prey on children.
