Prayer for Montezuma-Cortez RE-1 Educational System
Thank you Father that we stand on the glorious truth that the Messiah has come. We give thanks to you because of the abundant grace given to us in Christ Jesus.
Our faith rests in Jesus, the new wine of your presence and power. We rejoice in hearing your voice. You have made our joy complete. (Mt 9:16 - New Wine) John 3:29 Joy
Father, we repent personally and corporately for allowing humanism to take over our schools and in particular our colleges and universities. In doing so we have quickly deserted the One who has called us by grace.
We ask forgiveness for our educational system for following after other gods and abandoning you and your spiritual principles
We thank you for our Montezuma-Cortez district schools because of the grace you have given them in Jesus Christ. For they possess the resources needed for spiritual growth and transformation. 1Corinthians 1:4-9.
Today, we align ourselves with your truth and we walk in the responsibility to engage and to represent you well for the sake of the children and for the benefit of our nation.
We pray for the Montezuma-Cortez RE-1 schools who have forsaken you, to return and become a fountain of living water (Jeremiah 2:13).
We stand in our God given authority and arise as an influencer in your kingdom on behalf of the children in the way they should go. We pray that the major decisions about our children's health, education and religious upbringing will rest in you and with their parents.
You are the defender of our rights and in you we stand firm in our boundaries against those who try to usurp them.
Jesus you told us to ask you for laborers to go into the harvest, so we ask that you send Godly men and women to the Montezuma-Cortez district schools. Thank you that they are here and more are coming. Send more students, administrators and board members who know you and will proclaim your name at each of our district schools and who will lift up a standard of righteousness (Matthew 9:38).
We pray that there will be a demonstration of the Spirits power at each one of our district schools so that its faith may not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power (1 Corinthians 2:4-5).
We pray that the ungodly will not flourish here (Psalm 1:4-6).
We declare our purpose, that everyone at our district schools may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely in Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:2-3).
We declare that as believers in Jesus we walk in the commandment He gave to love others especially those who may be considered our enemy and the enemy of our children. That all our prayers for the educational system on a local level and in this country and all our actions will be governed by love (2 John 5).
Amen.
Very good, except that some of the teachers in Montezuma county schools are teaching their own views. Like the one who had a large picture of one of the "Squad" on the wall in the front of her classroom and was continually telling the high school kids about her political views....in English class! Many of the kids disagreed and one young girl in the class asked the teacher, "When are we going to learn something that has to do with English?" I don't know if that teacher is still here, but just recently a young girl came home and told her Mom she didn't know if she wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving anymore" When asked why, she was told that it…
Amen!
