THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I had no idea what to expect when I visited The Station last week, and I was very impressed! Kara and Jeremy Linch bought the building on Maple St and opened The Station in June 2022. Kara said she was inspired on a trip through Texas and seeing all the interesting Boutiques everywhere, She thought "We can do this in Cortez!" They both had noticed this building sitting empty for years , and decided to make something of it. And they did!
They have clothing and accessories for both men & women, and for all ages. Kara describes the collection as Hippie/Boho/Country, and the selections are beautiful. They have so much clothing, along with boots, shoes, local hand-made jewelry, hand-made knives, Red Dirt hats and T-shirts and men's pearl-snap shirts by Eli Cattlemen.
There are housewares, dough bowl soy candles, table runners, purses, toiletry bags.
The Live Edge Furniture is made by Jeremy Linch .
The store also features a painting done by local artist Ed Singer, titled Sundown IV. Ed says " the painting is of Jackson Sundown (Nez Perce), a rodeo fashionista" . The painting is for sale, as is a marble horse sculpture hand carved by local Navajo artist, Vern Phillips.
There is SO MUCH MORE to show you! Please visit for the full experience! You can see outfits and more photos on Facebook at The Station Boutique. You can also go to their website at shopatthestation.com.
Kara is planning her GRAND OPENING on November 26! For more information go to their Facebook page.
